When managing a multilingual store, arranging the order of languages and currencies in the switcher ensures a seamless shopping experience. There are two ways to modify the order: using the Sort option and the Pin option. Below, we’ll guide you through each method.
1. Using the Sort Option
The Sort option allows you to manually reorder languages and currencies based on your preference. After sorting, the new order will be reflected in both the in-app interface and the storefront switcher.
How to Use the Sort Option:
- Navigate to the language/currency list in the app.
- Click the Sort icon in the top right corner of the table, then choose to sort by Created date (Oldest/Newest first) or Language Name (A-Z or Z-A)
- Save the changes to apply the new order.
Once sorted, the switcher on your storefront will display languages and currencies in this updated sequence.
2. Using the Pin Option
The Pin option provides a way to highlight specific languages or currencies by positioning them at the top of the list. The first pinned language will always appear at the top, followed by the others in the order they were pinned.
How to Use the Pin Option:
- Go to the language/currency list in the app.
- Select the language or currencie you want to pin.
- The first one you pin will be placed at the top of the switcher.
- Continue pinning others in your preferred sequence.
By using the Pin feature, you can prioritize key languages or currencies, ensuring they remain easily accessible to your customers.
Conclusion
Both Sort and Pin options give you flexibility in managing language and currency order in your store. If you want complete control over the arrangement, use the Sort option. If you need specific languages or currencies to always appear first, use the Pin option.
Choose the method that best suits your store’s needs to enhance user experience and navigation!
