When you switch to a new theme, certain elements of your store's functionality may need to be reconfigured, including our app's switcher. Below, we outline what to expect and the steps to take if any custom code, such as notranslate, is affected.
1. Reactivating the Switcher
Our app's switcher is integrated into your theme’s code. When you upgrade or change your theme, this integration may be lost. To ensure the switcher functions properly in your new theme, you will need to reactivate it.
2. Handling Custom Code (e.g., notranslate)
If you previously added custom code like notranslate to prevent certain elements from being translated, it may or may not carry over to your new theme.
- If the notranslate code remains, no further action is needed.
- If the notranslate code is removed, you can manually re-add it by following the instructions in our help article.
3. Need Assistance?
If you're unsure how to reapply the notranslate code or reactivate the switcher, our Technical team is happy to assist you. Reach out to us, and we’ll guide you through the process to ensure everything works smoothly in your new theme.
